Benefit BADgal waterproof liner

I bought this waterproof liner when I was beginning my collection. And here’s my review.

I got the one in Espresso colour from Benefit @ 1 Utama. The colour was fine when I tested it. However, as I’ve been using it lately, I realised it’s not really obvious, and it’s quite light. I’d have to go over my eye a few times before getting it visible. Waterproof wise, yes, it doesn’t smudge on me like a few liners i’ve tried,i.e., Nutrimetrics (I got it free from an event) and Silky girl.

Also, it gets blunt very fast, either that, or I’ve never used eye liners this often before. However, when you sharpen it, i realised that the tip actually gets broken. when I touch the tip, it’s shaky now. Like how you would sharpen your normal pencil, and you can pull the tip off because it’s broken.

I bought this before really starting to review the products I buy. Now that I’ve started, when I’m done with this liner, I might go with Urban Decay, I try out Rimmel.

Revamp :)

Hi peoplesssss,

Oh gosh, it’s been ages, and yes, I have abandoned blogging for awhile. Work came up. Busy schedules, and guess what, I’m getting married in two months….. Oh Emm Gee… *faints*

Anyway, yeah, getting married, means prepping for the wedding, whether or not the event itself, or myself. So I have been taking care of myself lately. Ok, I lied, maybe I just started the last few weeks. Anyway, better late than never right?

Yeah, so I know, my blog has always been about food. and only food. Since my interests have grown, why not the blog too? So from now onwards, I’ll probably review about anything and everything that I use. Don’t worry, give me some time. I will categorise and what nt to make live for you easier. 🙂

So one of the beauty..i would rather call it bath products I’ve been using is

Acai Berry body scrub from Guardian. My friend nagged at me for buying i from Guardian, but it was purchased on a whim! 🙂 I saw acai and since Acai has been the hype lately, I thought why not try it? I’m not too sure how body scrubs are supposed to make you feel, but I didn’t feel exceptionally better. The scrubs were quite rough, which I liked. So far I’ve been using twice a week. Not much of  difference. Maybe my friend was right. I’ll probably get a better brand the next time around.

Shocker alert! I got inspired when stumbling upon Pink Pistachio on Pinterest, and her Well-Rested tutorial. I then watched her Fab in 5 tutorial, and was amazed it could all be done in 5 minutes! So, I couldn’t wait to get all the products and get started.

First thing I got was the Bare Minerals 6 piece starter kit from Sephora at Paradigm.

ImageOk, the kit i got from Sephora Paradigm did not include the small brush, and the primer was really tiny. I did have the mineral veil though. I was slightly disappointed because after surfing the net, I found many online stores selling the more “worth-it” version as it had more goodies, for the same price. Oh well, anyway, I’ve been using it everyday for two weeks or so, and people do comment that there is a difference in my complexion. 🙂 However, people said I seemed tanned, which I now feel it is the wrong foundation or the lady matched it to my tanned skin (I just came back from Maldives about a month ago). However, I do feel by using the foundation, warmth all over face color and mineral veil, has made my face much more “flawless” as they would say. Yes, I do have imperfections still, but it has provided great coverage.

The next thing I would love love love to get is the Naked Basics palette.

MillionDollarBeauty is giving it away and all you have to do is blog about it and link back to her! 🙂 Here’s me trying my luck!

Stay tuned for more updates, and reviews, and a revamp of the blog!

MAPEX 2011

I just got back from Mid Valley. Went with the BF to the MAPEX fair to have a look at some properties. BF hopes to buy one, whether it’s for stay or not.

Met him there as he took the Transit to Mid Valley. Had this printed out!

Two Big Breakfast with minimum purchase of RM5! So we ordered 2 coffees, and got this for free!

Cool, eh? I’m a sucker for such things. My fav part was the hash brown, which I forgot to snap a pic of!

Lunch was at Modern de Cafe on the way home. We were in a rush so that the BF could get some nap time. I’m off for some workout!

Another scramble

Before lunch, I had an NZ apple, as I hadn’t decided if I was hungry.

Sweet Red fruit!!!

After that, I decided i WAS hungry!

Lunch called for another scrambled egg. Smile

This time, with milk! Since the BF showed me how good it was to have the salt put on the egg, instead of mixed in, I’ve not salted my egg any other way, well, except for omelettes.

Also a toast (Low GI toast from Chef’s at Bintulu) with Lemon Tree Kaya. I think SS2ians will know about this Kaya. There’s a lady who goes around selling kaya, and she’s real quick, barely gives you any time before you can even tell her if you want it before she walks away. I miss her kaya! It’s so tasty. There’s just something she put in, which makes it different. However, the texture is abit grittier than I remember. Well, I may be wrong. But I still love the taste!

Got something done besides just watching tv..

Double C’s

Double C’s for – Creamy Eggs and Cheerios

Woke up super early.. well 6am is super early now that I normally sleep in.. Had a coffee and a snack to hit the treadmill.

Some Creamy protein to build back my muscles.

I heart creamy eggs! well, this was only one egg as I had Cheerios in my mind.

And in a purple bowl!

Cheerios Nut Crunch. My aunts bought it for me for X’mas. Cheerios don’t come cheap in Malaysia.

Also decided to use the milk for Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa

I always find it too thick, and add more water. But it’s still hard to dissolve.

In a Starbucks mug a dear friend of mine got me for X’Mas + B’day!

The BF just got back, slightly late and is flying off again tonight. MAY decide to clean up my room as I had just cleaned the kitchen and I’m so proud of it!!!!! Off to do some blog reading.

Cocoa Cappuccino

Just that day, when I was heading to E @ The Curve to get tickets for 127 Hours (complimentary of my aunt!), I dropped by Starbucks @ Borders on may way home. “Lunch” was the new Cocoa Cappuccino.

It was really cocoa-ey. Almost reminds me of a Mocha. Quite good. But not really on my fav list. And I regret using my tumbler for a cap because it just means I get less for my money.

Of course, coffee wasn’t lunch! I had it with a Blueberry Cream Cheese Muffin!

It had chunks of cream cheese in it! And blubes! Quite good actually.

Did some reading, which is why this is my fav Starbucks. Somewhere where I can read books, (mostly mags) without paying too much.

It’s been a while hasn’t it? Well, with all the time I have in the world now (read below), I’ve been reading many blogs, and have been inspired to relive my blog.. one day at a time.

Well, what has been going on lately, you ask?

I’ve finally completed my Ba (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree… with a First Class I must add!! Thank God. I don’t ever think I could’ve done it without Him. So with that, I’m now job-hunting, which is NOT easy at all. It’s hard to take the jump and sign the offer letter when at the back of your mind, you hope that there will be some better. And that’s what I did..

I waited. and waited. and waited. Well, one of the companies I would love to join replied, and I’m going for their final stage soon. Sadly, another company did not shortlist me. I found that out yesterday and was pretty disappointed. I’m wondering where I went wrong. It was actually something I really wanted, but oh well, it could be a blessing in disguise. Oh God, please tell me I’m doing the right thing.

Besides that, I’ve been lazing around, watching lots of tv and reading lots of blogs. I love to read articles about getting organized and neat in the house. But it stops there! I never actually do it. This is because when I do, it lasts for a week, tops! I will try though. I’ve been doing the basic cleaning around the house, but that’s about it. Don’t you ever feel that, you put away something only to be taken out again later? Well, that’s what I feel about cleaning up, folding clothes, and etc. Even bathing Max!

I know this is a food blog, so I AM sorry for not posting about food. One thing though, I went to Shogun yesterday for Granddad’s birthday. It was a good deal because it was free for him as it was his birthday, and half price for grandma as she was a senior citizen. So many old people!! Anyways, gosh, once you’ve tried better buffets, shogun is just… meh..

Shogun had quite a bit of variety, but I could not think of even one item I enjoyed though Granddad did enjoy the salmon. But other than that… the tempura was cold, the sushi lacked creativity of what was already out in the normal jap restaurants. The cod fish was okay only. Jogoya had better ones. No soft shell crab!! But I doubt it would have been nice anyway as tempura was cold. Many of the dishes which I liked they took off the menu. Most of the Asian dishes were cold. The dessert… only three types of cakes, none of which were good. Not even the fruits..

I will choose Rakuzen or Jogoya or Tenji any other day. So sad to see one of the first Japanese buffets out there to have their standards drop so bad.

However, the day before yesterday, was the BF’s off day. yay! One of the rare off days because he has to do OT nowadays. We went to Outback Steakhouse for lunch. We were contemplating where to eat for our “date”. It was down to Victoria or outback and we heard Victoria is not as good anymore, so we settled for Outback.

It was great that they had value-for money set lunch which came to an appetiser, drink and main.

I chose the House Salad.

Romaine, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, croutons, and cabbage. With some kind of spicy mayo based dressing. It was better than what I expected since it actually had cheese and croutons!

BF had the potato soup. Super duper cheesy! I actually would’ve preferred this over the salad.

Typhoon Bloom (RM15.90). Yums!!! This is why I love steakhouses like Tony Roma’s and Outback. I love the onion loaf. I love onions. Unfortunately, it was pretty oily, so I took home some so that I don’t overload on the grease.

My main was Fish and Chips (RM17.95). I wanted crab cakes but it wasn’t on the set, so this seemed more worth it.

Portion was pretty small, but I couldn’t finish it. Probably it was because I couldn’t stomach the grease! It was alright, but it felt too fishy to me.

BF’s main was Teriyaki Beef Skewers (I can’t recall the price but it’s about RM30).

Surprisingly, though it was well done, the meet was tender! And yummy for that matter. Not really teriyaki, but still good. Outback has never failed us with their beef. Note the prices are the set prices.

Overall, Outback didn’t disappoint. Service was excellent too. However, the highlight for me was our visit to Espressamente illy.

If I had known they served food, I would’ve come here to eat! The cups here look so pretty but too expensive! RM700 for a set of 6 or so.

I had a Muggacinno.

Yum! Seriously, beats Starbucks any time! If they opened somewhere near my place, I would go here everyday!

BF had a latte! This won’t be my last visit for sure!

I’m heading out for Ash Wednesday mass. Ta!
