Today, there is no mass in all KL churches as there is some retreat the priests have to go to. So dinner was pushed to 7pm @ Pitaya Street in Bdr Menjalara.
This is a new place, the same row as Ho Ho Steamboat & UOB Bank in Bandar Menjalara.
It was just the 5 of us, yet, we ordered quite a bit!
Kung Pau chicken
It was alright, but no cashewnuts! And a tad too spicy. The chicken meat was really tender though.
Salted fish fried rice. It was fine by me (i like salted fish) but the aunts thought it was kinda salty. Didn’t eat much as there was lots of food!
This was my fav! Fried Egg-Fu Yong style! YUM! I like it because they cooked it with a big fire, i.e. then the egg is crisp on the edges!
Tofu with Fish maw. It was … ok.. I’m not a big fan of this style of tofu. Grandpa enjoyed the fish maw though!
Curry Chap Choy (Curry Mixed VegE). This really reminded me of home-cooked flavours as it tasted very similar to grandma’s cooking! Yums! Brinjals too!
French beans Szechuan style. The beans were fine, but I really liked the minced meat and dried shrimp mixture. Not spicy at all thought it was Szechuan style.
The bill came to about RM 60 +. It’s not cheap, but it’s cheap to come for food like Fried rice, as it’s about RM5 / plate.
Yum char tonight was at Desa Park City (Wonder when we will get sick of this place. It hasn’t really sunk in that we are not capable of owning the houses here due to exorbitant prices, but we’re still in dreamland ). Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf it was!
Blueberry muffin.. It looked nice.. it was meh. It wasn’t sweet enough. And it was too dense for my liking.
Affagato Caramel Macchiato Yoghurt Swirl! Wow! I didn’t notice this the last time around. But gosh, is it good! It’s vanilla yoghurt, in espresso, drizzled with caramel! Sweeett. Makes it have a less diluted feeling!
Came home to a very tired BF. He’s not too well, but I hope he will be when Bali dates come!!
