Waterlily @ Mutiara Tropicana

Warning: The pics in this post have horrible lighting, blame it on the lighting in the restaurant cos it was dim. but the lighting made the ambience that much more better.

Dinner was a tad more special + Akak Jack was spending. 😉 Thanks!!!

Waterlily is a Balinese restaurant/Bistro, with a great ambience, serving HUGE (but expensive) portions of balinese food!!

Believe me when i say portions are HUGE

This is Nasi with chicken (1/2 chicken)

I didn’t try this but i did try that side dish of tempeh and beans.. it was bland.. and also the kangkung, which was SUPER Spicy!! the borders of my lips were burning for about 15 mins!

Grilled Chicken salad. The rempeyek was way too thick. i think it’s painful to the teeth!

The sauce- wonderful! for those who like spicy! This was not overly spicy though. I love the sesames in the sauce!

And of course, the fried onions!!

Well, i’m not a fan of raw vege, so i didn’t really finish the vege (but akak jean helped!)

Akak Jean and Akak Jack shared a Nasi Campur (RM33) so did gramps.

It was big enough for two! Came with some fish satay, fish, squid, prawns, rempeyek, chicken, kangkung, rice, vege (kangkung)

The fish was AMAZING!!!!! it was so flavourful! Grilled squids were so soft too!!!! never ate such soft ones before. i didn’t try the rest though

This is cumi cumi gorend, which is fried squid. It was not worth the money though. Akak thinks the nasi campur had more squid than this. The squid was soft though. tasty. but really small portion. Lots of bits of batter..

Came with a side of potatoes..

ES campur, in other words, Balinese version of ABC.

Filled with all sorts of fruits from bananas to jackfruit. My aunt said it tasted like pina colada.

Overall, the food is quite good, but pricy.. maybe one meal can be shared by two.

Food: 8/10 | Price: 6/10 | Service: 6.5/10 | Ambience: 8.5/10
