Dinner during CHINESE new year- INDIAN vegetarian restaurant : you gotta love MAlaysia for food! lol.
Since most chinese shops were closed, dinner was @ Saravanaa Bhavan @ PJ State.
The menu is quite extensive, but the vegetable dishes are a minimum RM8 for a small bowl..
These are the vegetable dishes
Top lefte: Chickpea curry- was a fav among the aunts. but spicay! not as spicy as…
Bottom left: Cauliflower- it was hot! i think they put chilli padi inside!!! So spicy till my mouth was burning.
Top right: Vegetable curry- quite nice, and less spicy than the other two.
Bottom right: Minced roasted eggplant. i just don’t like the idea that it’s mashed. but i guess that’s Indian food for ya. quite tasty though cos of the sweetness from the eggplant.
“Chicken briyani” which grampa and akak carol ordered. the rice was good. and the chicken which was fake had a good texture..
“Tomato omelette”. it didn’t hit me that it was supposed to taste like an omelette, which it didn’t. it was quite nice though. made out of chickpea flour. on the right are condiments which can be eaten with tosai or any other dish.
Ghee Tosai, but it wasn’t crispy enough to me. the ghee made it very fragrant though!
There’s chapatti in case you’re wondering. i didn’t try any though .. =.=
Overall food was ok, but it was too pricy. ( and too spicy, not recommended for those who can’t take spicy foods!) Inclusive of another veg briyani, the bill came to RM90!!!! o.o
