italiannies @ sunway Pyramid

Sorry, this is kinda a belated post as i was awaiting the pics.

Last monday, me, sam and Teck Yang (high school friend) met up at Pyramid, and settled on Italiannies for lunch after a long long debate. 🙂

That’s complimentary bread. i love the multigrain, but sad it wasn’t warm.. Sam asked me to sit on it to make it warm. =.=

Oh, and that’s TecK yang. 🙂

We settled on the Quattro platter.. or rather, each of us chose something, so i choe this. alwats wanted to try it.

The left is calamari. the middle is cheese balls. the right is zucchini and onion strips.

Accompanying sauces were tomato based and cheesyyyy

The calamari was a tad disappointing. it was quite tough to bite.

The cheese balls were really rich. when you cut it open, it doesn’t look like cheese. but when you bite into it, it is soooo cheesy, and imagine dipping it in the cheese sauce!!!!

I heart the zucchini and onions! only if there were more!!!!!

Sam wanted something cheesy.. so she chose the carbonara. Surprisingly small cos i expect Itallianies dishes to be HUGE!

It was uber creamy. which is good for carbonara fans. i heart the bacon bits, though i try to cut down. lol..

Teck Yang, being a guy, ordered something meaty.. lamb shank..

HEart the mash. was nice, but i think the best is still Tony Roma’s (mash)

The lamb was quite nice. not stinky. It was tender, but not till the point it falls of the bone though. the sauce was good. slurrp!

Bill came up to approx RM80 something.

Food’s good, so is the service. but not for casual dining. 🙂

  1. Sam sounds like a funny guy asking you to sit on the bread. The zucchini and onion strips is the recipe I want to recreate. It sounds delicious with some roasted Brussels sprouts! Lamb is one of my favorite meats and it looks good. Good review.
