Dinner was decided to be had at Shiang Hee though there was no Lala.. We go to this place almost once a month cos it’s reasonably priced Tai Chao here.
Had some cashews fresh from the oven before we left..
Twas quite packed last night since it was a Sunday.
Had to have my fav belachan brinjal and i can now confirm that the price is RM8. Delish. And only oily at the end.
Bean sprouts were good too.. RM6
Decided on a thai style tofu. I really wish they could do this with tau kwa (firm beancurd) but nope. only normal soft tofu. RM6
Steamed fish (Fei Chau) with bean paste. I totally was unaware the bean paste had pork lard (chu yau char) and i was happily eating the sauce.. and it had some crunchy bits inside. Until i asked dear. he said, yep. it’s lard! I spat it out immediately.. Sigh.. i don’t know how much fat has gone into my body. so much for healthy eating during the exam. not an ounce of weight lost.
Anyway, grandpa didn’t really enjoy it cos it was a tad spicy. but the fish was fresh and Grandma enjoyed it!
