Menjalara Park

Today, me and dear decided to head to the park in Bandar Menjalara for some running-though he prefers gymming! lol..

A Honey maid w/PB and a coffee was consumed for pre run

Fun at the park cos lots of people around exercising and a much different view than my dining table in front of my treadmill =.=

Ran for about 20 mins and had a quick brekkie at One Kopitiam

Had a breakfast set of milk tea (as above) and a western brekkiePhoto0137

Ok.. it didn’t look as great as the pic, but it was quite decent for RM5.80..

Shared it with dear who ALSO had a pork burger-was quite good since they ACTUALLY used real meat! Amazing!

You know, this would actually be a cheaper alternative to Old Town.. but i still stick to my principles, that if the food looks cheaper to be made at home, e.g., soft boiled eggs, then don’t have it. (except Coffee-cos coffee is always better when the pros make it!)

Food: 7/10 | Price: 7.5/10 | Service: 7/10 | Ambience: 8/10

One Kopitiam, Bandar Menjalara

Came home and helped Akak Jean bathe Max.. after which, he rolled around the floor.. =.= i don’t get dogs..

Ironed some clothes and prepped for lunch-yes, lunch though we just had brekkie!

I prepped my homemade fish and chips, though i did the fish a tiny bit diff this time..

Prepped the usual breading station of FINE BREADCRUMBS and EGG. i didn’t use flour this time.

the fine breadcrumbs mixture was made out of:

  • fine breadcrumbs (little different than the one i used last time)
  • salt & pepper
  • oregano (dried)
  • Sesame Seeds!!

“Marinade” for fish (i didn’t actually have time to marinade it, so it’s kinda like a seasoning) :

  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • oregano
  • Fish marinade (lee kum kee)

This time, when frying the fish, i used much more oil cos i realised my “wok” can maintain a constant temp, thus the food will not burn, it’ll just turn really brown.. so i can safely, and hopefully assume that it does not absorb much oil. Just to be safe though, i placed the cooked fish on kitchen towels to absorb as much oil as possible.

I know, it looks really brown, but i promise, it ain’t burnt and is delish! yum.. cos i didn’t fry it for too long, so it was so moist inside!!

Love the sesame seeds.. i forgot about it for the first few, so that’s why a few are sesame seedless

Frozen vege and chips are always good to have on hand..

Tesco brocolli and Simplot fries!

And what pigs we are cos after this, we washed up and went to bed!! Gosh!

Ok.. i’ll post where we had for dinner.. later!
